PETITION FOR WAIVER OF A HIGH-COST UNIVERSAL SERVICE FILING DEADLINE WC Docket No. 08-71 Comment Date: February 22, 2013 Reply Comment Date: March 11, 2013 The Wireline Competition Bureau seeks comment on a petition filed by FairPoint Communications, Inc. on behalf of four of its local exchange carrier subsidiaries operating in Maine and Vermont: China Telephone Company, FairPoint Vermont, Inc., Northland Maine and Sidney Telephone Company, and Standish and Maine Telephone Company (the FairPoint Companies) for a waiver of the filing deadline required by section 54.301(e)(1) of the Commission’s rules.1 Section 54.301(e)(1) sets forth the deadline for certain incumbent local exchange carriers to file true-up data with the Universal Service Administrative Company to be eligible to receive local switching support.2 Pursuant to sections 1.415 and 1.419 of the Commission’s rules, interested parties may file comments on or before the dates indicated above.3 Comments may be filed using the Commission’s Electronic Comment Filing System (ECFS).4 § Electronic Filers: Comments may be filed electronically using the Internet by accessing the ECFS: http://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/ecfs2/. § Paper Filers: Parties who choose to file by paper must file an original and one copy of each filing.
