PUBLIC NOTICE Federal Communications Commission 445 12th St., S.W. Washington, D.C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418-0500 Internet: http://www.fcc.gov TTY: 1-888-835-5322 DA 14-1514 Released: October 20, 2014 MEDIA BUREAU EXTENDS COMMENT DATE FOR DRAFT TV BROADCASTER RELOCATION FUND REIMBURSEMENT FORM GN Docket No. 12-268 Comments Due: November 26, 2014 The Media Bureau has received a request from the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB)1 for an extension of time in which to file comments in response to the Public Notice released September 25, 2014 seeking comment on a draft TV Broadcaster Relocation Fund Reimbursement Form (“Reimbursement Form”).2 NAB seeks additional time to submit comments so that their comments can include the input of broadcast engineers with experience replacing and altering broadcast transmission equipment, many of whom have other professional obligations in October. As set forth in Section 1.46(a) of the Commission's Rules,3 the Commission's policy is that extensions of time shall not be routinely granted. Given the importance of the issues in this proceeding, however, we find that good cause exists to provide all parties an extension of the comment deadline to facilitate the development of a full and complete record. The Media Bureau hereby extends the time for filing comments in response to the September 25, 2014 Public Notice seeking comment on the draft Reimbursement Form. Parties who have already submitted comments in this matter may supplement their filing by November 26, 2014 if they wish. As described in the September 25, 2014 Public Notice seeking comment on the draft Reimbursement Form, comments may be filed using the Commission’s Electronic Comment Filing System (ECFS) or by filing paper copies.4 Comments filed through the ECFS can be sent as an electronic file via the Internet to http://www.fcc.gov/cgb/ecfs/. Generally, only one copy of an electronic submission must be filed. If multiple docket or rulemaking numbers appear in the caption of the proceeding, commenters must transmit one electronic copy of the comments to each docket or rulemaking number referenced in the caption. In completing the transmittal screen, commenters should include their 1 Motion for Extension of Time of the National Association of Broadcasters, GC Docket No. 12-268 (October 10, 2014). 2 This Public Notice was published in the Federal Register on October 9, 2014.
