Intelsat was authorized to provide Fixed-Satellite Service via Galaxy 11 in the 10.95-11.2 GHz (space-to-Earth), 11.7-12.2 GHz (space-to-Earth), and 13.75-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands from the 55.6º W.L. orbital location, instead of its currently authorized orbital location of 55.5º W.L. Intelsat was also authorized to conduct telemetry, tracking, and command operations necessary to maintain the Galaxy 11 space station at the 55.6º W.L. orbital location using the following center frequencies: 14.0005 GHz and 14.4985 GHz (Earth to space), and 11.701 GHz and 11.702 GHz (space to Earth). Furthermore, the license term for Galaxy 11 was extended from April 6, 2015, through January 30, 2019. Nature of Service: Earth Exploration Satellite Service On October 23, 2014, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the application of Planet Labs, Inc. for modification of its license to launch and operate non-geostationary orbit Earth Exploration Satellite Service satellites. Planet Labs was authorized to launch up to 500 additional NGSO satellites to the International Space Station that are physically and technically identical to those previously authorized under Call Sign S2912 and which will be deployed from the ISS into circular orbits at altitudes between 380 and 410 kilometers, at an inclination of 51.6 degrees. These additional satellites were authorized to transmit remote-sensing and telemetry data to fixed earth stations in the 8025-8400 MHz frequency band, receive command signals in the 2025-2110 MHz band, and may use the 401-402 MHz and 449.75-450.25 MHz bands for early-phase and emergency-backup telemetry, tracking, and command operations. S2887SAT-STA-20140919-00102 E Effective Date: 10/24/2014Grant of Authority Special Temporary Authority Intelsat License LLC On October 24, 2014, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority to Intelsat License LLC, for a period of 30 days, to conduct in-orbit testing of the Intelsat 30 space station at the 132.0º W.L. orbital location using the 10.95-11.2 GHz (space-to-Earth), 11.45-11.7 GHz (space-to-Earth), 11.7-12.2 GHz (space-to-Earth), 13.75-14.0 GHz (Earth-to-space), and 14.0-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. In addition, Intelsat was authorized to conduct antenna measurements at 3511 MHz (space-to-earth) and 6536 MHz (Earth-to-space). Intelsat was also authorized to conduct telemetry, tracking, and command operations necessary to maintain Intelsat 30 at the 132.0º W.L. orbital location during in-orbit testing, and to effect the drift of Intelsat 30 to the 95.05º W.L. orbital location upon completion of in-orbit testing, using the following center frequencies: 11.198.0 GHz, 11.1985 GHz, 11.19925 GHz, and 11.19975 GHz (space-to-Earth); and 13.7505 GHz and 14.0035 GHz (Earth-to-space).
