On October 10, 2014, the Commission released a Third Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in the above-captioned proceeding seeking comment on measures to facilitate the final conversion of LPTV and TV translator stations to digital service and considering additional means to mitigate the potential impact of the incentive auction and the repacking process on LPTV and TV translator stations.1 A summary published in the Federal Register specified a deadline of December 29, 2014 for filing comments on the Third Notice and a January 12, 2015 deadline for filing reply comments.2 By this Order, we extend these filing deadlines until January 12, 2015 and January 26, 2015, respectively. 2. Although, it is the general policy of the Commission that extensions of time shall not be routinely given,3 because the comment dates fall after a major holiday, we find it in the public interest to provide a short two-week extension. Accordingly, IT IS ORDERED, pursuant to Section 4(i) of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, 47 U.S.C. § 154(i), and Sections 0.51, 0.283, and 1.46 of the Commission's rules, 47 C.F.R. §§ 0.51, 0.283, and 1.46, that the time for filing comments in this proceeding is extended to January 12, 2015 and the time for filing reply comments is extended to January 26, 2015.
