COMMENT DATES FOR PROPOSAL TO RELAX THE AUDIO FILTERING REQUIREMENT 
FOR TRAVELERS’ INFORMATION STATIONS

On April 16, 2014, PSHSB released a public notice (the Public Notice)1 seeking comment on a 
proposal filed by the National Association of Broadcasters that would relax but not eliminate Section 
90.242(b)(8) of the Commission’s rules.2 The Public Notice listed a comment date of May 16, 2014 and 
a reply comment date of June 2, 2014.  However, the Public Notice had not yet been published in the 
Federal Register.  The Public Notice was subsequently published in the Federal Register on May 29, 
2014 with a new comment date revised to reflect a period of thirty days from the date of Federal Register 
publication, and a new reply comment date revised to reflect a period of 45 days from the date of Federal 
Register publication.3 This public notice announces those revised dates for comments and reply 
comments.
