The agenda for the 700 MHz meeting (10 a.m.-11 a.m.) includes: ? Opening introductions and facility logistics ? Approve meeting minutes ? Presentation of City of Portland 700 MHz Frequency Request (copy available upon request) - Action on City of Portland 700 MHz Frequency Request ? Plan amendment to add the 24 reserve channels recently released by the FCC as general use channels placing them in reserve vs. allocating them. - Determine whether to set aside six of the reserve channels for deployable trunking use. - Modify section 13.5.3.2 to clarify that to appeal an application the entity appealing must be actively filing a valid application and qualified for the same allotment of frequencies. - Remove section 13.5.4 in its entirety and renumber section 13.5.4.1 to 13.5.4. ? Review any updates on the notification process in Section 9.3 item 8. ? Discuss whether a sunset date should be set for dissolution of the channel pre- assignments moving the open channels to reserves. ? Open Agenda ? Adjourn 700 MHz RPC meeting Following the 700 MHz Public Safety RPC meeting, the 800 MHz Public Safety RPC meeting will convene at the same location (11 a.m.-12 noon). 1 The Region 35 (Oregon) 700 MHz and 800 MHz NPSPAC regional planning area consists of the entire state of Oregon. Presentation of City of Portland 800 MHz Frequency Request (copy available upon request). - Action on City of Portland 800 MHz Frequency Request ? 700 MHz/800 MHz Interoperability Repeaters - Request from Region 43 to update lists of 700 and 800 MHz conventional interoperability repeater locations along the Oregon-Washington border that were approved by R43; to indicate whether or not these repeaters were placed in service. ? Adjourn 800 MHz RPC meeting Both Region 35 700 and 800 MHz Public Safety RPC meetings are open to the public. All eligible public safety providers in Region 35 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that eligible public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz and 800 MHz bands within Region 35 should plan to attend.
