Nature of Service: Direct to Home Fixed Satellite, Fixed Satellite Service On June 11, 2015, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the petition of Satélites Mexicanos, S.A. de C.V. to add the Eutelsat 115 WB space station (formerly known as Satmex 7) at the 114.9° W.L. orbital location to the Commission's Permitted Space Station List to provide Fixed-Satellite Service, including direct-to-home services, in the 3700-4200 MHz (space-to-Earth), 5925-6425 MHz (Earth-to-space), 11.7-12.2 GHz (space-to-Earth), and 14.0-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. The operations of Eutelsat 115 WB addressed by this grant are licensed by the Administration of Mexico. We find that this proceeding raises issues of broadly applicable policy under the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, and International Telecommunication Union Radio Regulations and that designating this proceeding as "permit-but-disclose" will facilitate communications with the parties.
