On August 22, 2016, the Federal Communications Commission (Commission) adopted a Further 
Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (FNPRM) seeking comment on proposed changes to the 700 MHz public 
safety narrowband service rules.

  The FNPRM sets deadlines for filing comments and reply comments at 
30 and 45 days after publication in the Federal Register.

On September 26, 2016, a summary of the FNPRM was published in the Federal Register.

Accordingly, comments will be due on or before October 26, 2016, and reply comments on or before 
November 10, 2016.  Complete comment filing instructions are set forth in the FNPRM and Federal 
Register.
