Washington, D.C. 20554 News Media Information: 202-418-0500 Internet: www.fcc.gov TTY: 888-835-5322 DA 16-200 February 26, 2016 THE INCENTIVE AUCTION TASK FORCE ANNOUNCES A WORKSHOP ON MAKING AN INITIAL COMMITMENT IN THE BROADCAST INCENTIVE AUCTION AU Docket No. 14-252 GN Docket No. 12-268 WT Docket No. 12-269 On Friday, March 11, 2016, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Eastern Time (ET), the Commission’s Incentive Auction Task Force, in conjunction with the Media and Wireless Telecommunications Bureaus, will host a public workshop on the procedures for making an initial commitment in the reverse auction (Auction 1001). The workshop will include a demonstration of the initial commitment bidding system. In addition, Commission staff will present a preview of the reverse auction bidding system for the clock phase of Auction 1001. The workshop will be held in the Commission Meeting Room at FCC Headquarters in Washington, DC, and is open to the public. All attendees are advised to arrive approximately 30 minutes prior to the start of the workshop to allow time to go through the security process for admission to FCC Headquarters. Attendees are encouraged to pre-register by submitting their names and company affiliations via email to auction1001@fcc.gov in order to expedite the check-in process the day of the event. Please use “Initial Commitment Workshop” as the subject line in your email. The workshop will also be available for remote viewing. Details about remote viewing will be released at a later date. During the event, those watching remotely may email event-related questions to auction1001@fcc.gov. After the event, a recording of the workshop will be available for streaming. Attendance at the workshop is not a pre-requisite for making an initial commitment, but we strongly encourage applicants interested in making an initial commitment to attend or view the recorded version of the event.
