Washington, D.C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418-0500 Internet: http://www.fcc.gov TTY: 1-888-835-5322 DA 16-247 March 3, 2016 FCC ANNOUNCES THE FOURTH MEETING OF THE COMMUNICATIONS SECURITY, RELIABILITY, AND INTEROPERABILITY COUNCIL SCHEDULED FOR MARCH 16, 2016, AT FCC HEADQUARTERS By this Public Notice, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC or Commission), consistent with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA),1 announces that the FCC’s Communications Security, Reliability, and Interoperability Council (CSRIC or Council) will meet March 16, 2016, beginning at 1:00 p.m., in the Commission Meeting Room at FCC Headquarters, located at 445 12th Street, SW, Room TW-C305, Washington, DC 20554. Notice of this meeting was published in the Federal Register on February 29, 2016.2 The CSRIC is a federal advisory committee that provides recommendations to the Commission regarding best practices and actions the Commission can take to help ensure security, reliability, and interoperability of communications systems and infrastructure. At the March meeting the Council will hear progress reports from each working group and vote on Reports from Working Group 1-Evolving 911 Services; Working Group 2-Emergency Alerting Platforms: Working Group 3-Emergency Alert System: Working Group 6-Secure Hardware and Software-Security by Design; and Working Group 7-Cybersecurity Workforce. Members of the general public may attend the meeting. The FCC will attempt to accommodate as many attendees as possible; however, admittance will be limited to seating availability. The Commission will also provide audio and/or video coverage of the meeting over the Internet from the FCC’s web page at www.fcc.gov/live. Open captioning will be provided for this event.
