Petition for Declaratory Ruling to be Added to the Permitted List
Inmarsat plc
Nature of Service: Mobile Satellite Service
On April 7, 2016, the Satellite Division granted the petition of Inmarsat plc to add the Inmarsat-3 F5 satellite to the Commission's "ISAT List" at
the 54° W.L. orbital location. Accordingly, any U.S.-licensed earth station with ISAT listed as a point of communication is permitted to access
the Inmarsat-3 F5 satellite at the 54° W.L. orbital location in the 1525-1559 MHz (space-to-Earth) and 1626.5-1660.5 MHz (Earth-to-space)
frequency bands without additional authorization from the Commission, provided that the earth station complies with the Commission's
technical requirements and operates under the conditions on its license.
