S2948SAT-LOA-20151231-00089 E Effective Date: 06/09/2016Grant of Authority Launch and Operating Authority Intelsat License LLC Nature of Service: Fixed Satellite Service On June 9, 2016, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, authority to Intelsat License LLC, to construct, deploy, and operate a C- and Ku-band satellite, to be known as Intelsat 36, at the 68.5° E.L. orbital location. Intelsat is authorized to provide fixed-satellite service via Intelsat 36 at 68.5° E.L. using the following frequency bands: 3650-3700 MHz, 3700-4200 MHz, 11.2-11.45 GHz, and 11.7-12.5 GHz (space-to-Earth); and 5925-6675 MHz, 6675-6725 MHz, 13.0-13.25 GHz, and 17.3-18.1 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. In addition, Intelsat is authorized to conduct telemetry, tracking, and command operations using the following center frequencies: 3652.0 MHz, 3652.5 MHz, 3653.5 MHz, and 3654.0 MHz (space-to-Earth); and 6722.0 MHz and 6724.5 MHz (Earth-to-space). S2862SAT-MOD-20150408-00019 E Effective Date: 06/06/2016Granted in Part/ Deferred in Part Modification Terra Bella Technologies Inc. Nature of Service: Earth Exploration Satellite Service On June 6, 2016, the Satellite Division granted in part and deferred in part, with conditions, the application of Terra Bella Technologies Inc. (formerly Skybox Imaging, Inc.) for authority to construct, deploy, and operate one additional space stations as part of its Earth Exploration Satellite Service non-geostationary satellite system. Specifically, Terra Bella was authorized to construct, deploy, and operate SkySat 3 at an orbital altitude of approximately 510 by 502 km with inclination of 97.42 degrees to transmit telemetry signals and remote-sensing data in the 8025-8400 MHz frequency band (space-to-Earth) and to receive command signals in the 2025-2110 MHz band (Earth-to-space). Action was deferred on the remainder of Terra Bella's application. Page 1 of 2 For more information concerning this Notice, contact the Satellite Division at 202-418-0719; TTY 1-888-835-5322. S2834SAT-PPL-20160421-00037 E Effective Date: 06/09/2016Grant of Authority Petition for Declaratory Ruling to be Added to the Permitted List Hughes Network Systems, LLC Nature of Service: Fixed Satellite Service On June 2, 2016, the Satellite Division granted the petition of Hughes Network Systems, LLC to add the Jupiter 2 space station at 97.1° W.L. to the Commission's Permitted Space Station List in the following frequency bands: 18.3-18.8 GHz and 19.7-20.2 GHz (space-to-Earth); 28.35-28.6 GHz and 29.25-30.0 GHz (Earth-to-space). Jupiter 2 was previously granted U.S. market access in these frequency bands, and there are no changes in the proposed market access other than adding the space station to the Permitted Space Station List. See IBFS File Nos. SAT-LOI-20110809-00148 (granted July 27, 2012) and SAT-MOD-20141210-00127 (granted June 23, 2015). Because the Satellite Division had previously determined that market access by Jupiter 2 is in the public interest, addition of Jupiter 2 to the Permitted Space Station List is a ministerial action that does not require further public notice prior to grant. S2931SAT-STA-20160504-00044 E Effective Date: 06/08/2016Grant of Authority Special Temporary Authority DISH Operating L.L.C. On June 8, 2016, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority to DISH Operating L.L.C. for a period of 30 days to conduct in-orbit testing (IOT) of the EchoStar 18 satellite at the 67.2° W.L. orbital location. IOT will be conducted using the 12.2-12.7 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 17.3-17.8 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. Telemetry, tracking, and command operations will be conducted using the following center frequencies: 12.695 GHz, 12.696 GHz, 12.203 GHz, and 12.204 GHz (space-to-Earth); and 17.303 GHz (Earth-to-space) and 17.791-17.796 GHz (Earth-to-space). DISH Operating was also authorized to conduct TT&C operations using these frequencies necessary to move EchoStar 18 to its assigned orbital location at 61.35° W.L. upon completion of IOT. S2134SAT-STA-20160603-00054 E Effective Date: 06/08/2016Granted in Part/ Deferred in Part Special Temporary Authority SES Americom, Inc. On June 8, 2016, the Satellite Division granted in part, with condition, special temporary authority to SES Americom, Inc., for a period of 60 days, to conduct telemetry, tracking, and command operations necessary to drift AMC-2 from 80.85° W.L. to 84.85° W.L. using the following center frequencies: 6423.5 MHz (Earth-to-space); 3700.5 MHz, 4199.5 MHz, and 12198.0 MHz (space-to-Earth). Action was deferred on the remainder of SES Americom's request. Page 2 of 2
