Washington, D.C. 20554 News Media Information 202 / 418-0500 Internet: http://www.fcc.gov TTY: 1-888-835-5322 DA 16-781 Released: July 7, 2016 NOTICE OF REMOVAL OF DOMESTIC SECTION 214 APPLICATIONS FROM STREAMLINED TREATMENT WC Docket Nos. 16-171, 16-177 The Wireline Competition Bureau (Bureau) has removed the applications listed in this notice from streamlined treatment pursuant to the Commission’s streamlined procedures for domestic section 214 transfer of control applications. 1 Section 63.03(c)(1)(v) of the Commission’s rules provides that, at any time after an application is filed, the Commission, acting through the Chief of the Bureau, may notify an applicant that its application is being removed from streamlined processing where the Commission “determines that the application requires further analysis to determine whether a proposed transfer of control would serve the public interest.” 2 Domestic Section 214 Application Filed for the Transfer of Control of Call Catchers Inc. d/b/a FreedomVoice to GoDaddy Operating Co., LLC, WC Docket No. 16-171, Public Notice, DA 16- 655 (rel. June 14, 2016). Domestic Section 214 Application Filed for the Transfer of Control of inContact, Inc. to NICE- Systems, Ltd., WC Docket No. 16-177, Public Notice, DA 16-669 (rel. June 15, 2016). On June 16, 2016, the U.S. Department of Justice, with the concurrence of the U.S. Department of Defense and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (collectively, the Agencies) filed a letter requesting that the Commission defer action on WC Docket No. 16-177 while the Agencies complete their review of any national security, law enforcement, and public safety issues. 3 On June 27, 2016, the Agencies filed a letter requesting that the Commission defer action on WC Docket No. 16-171 while the Agencies complete their review of any national security, law enforcement, and public safety issues. 4 These applications are removed from streamlined review in response to the requests filed by the Agencies.
