DATES FOR NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULEMAKING ON TOLL FREE ASSIGNMENT 
MODERNIZATION

On September 26, 2017, the Federal Communications Commission adopted a Notice of Proposed 
Rulemaking (NPRM) that seeks comment on changes to the Commission’s rules on toll free number 
assignments, and other proposals to more equitably and efficiently distribute toll free numbers.

  The 
NPRM sets deadlines for filing comments and reply comments at 30 and 60 days, respectively, after 
publication in the Federal Register.

On October 13, 2017, a summary of the NPRM was published in the Federal Register.

  Accordingly, 
comments will be due on or before November 13, 2017, and reply comments will be due on or before 
December 12, 2017.
