DATES FOR NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULEMAKING AND NOTICE OF INQUIRY ON 
NATIONWIDE NUMBER PORTABILITY

On October 24, 2017, the Federal Communications Commission adopted a Notice of Proposed 
Rulemaking (NPRM) and Notice of Inquiry (NOI) that seeks comment on how best to move toward 
complete nationwide number portability to promote competition among all service providers, regardless 
of size or type of service.

  The NPRM and NOI sets deadlines for filing comments and reply comments 
at 30 and 60 days, respectively, after publication in the Federal Register.

On November 27, 2017, a summary of the NPRM and NOI was published in the Federal Register.

Accordingly, comments will be due on or before December 27, 2017, and reply comments will be due on 
or before January 26, 2018.
