MEDIA BUREAU ANNOUNCES EFFECTIVE DATE OF OVS ELECTRONIC FILING REQUIREMENTS

	By this Public Notice, the Media Bureau announces that parties seeking to operate an Open Video System (OVS) are now required to send certification applications, including FCC Form 1275 and all attachments, as well as OVS notices of intent, via email to the following email address: OVS@fcc.gov.  Comments or oppositions also must be sent via email to this same designated email address.  Any OVS certification application, notice of intent, or responsive filing submitted by any means, other than through the OVS@fcc.gov email address, will be improperly filed and will not be considered by the Commission.  

	The Commission adopted an Order on October 24, 2018 amending Sections 76.1502 and 76.1503 of our rules, 47 CFR §§ 76.1502, 76.1503, to establish electronic filing procedures for OVS submissions. See Modernization of Media Regulation Initiative: Procedural Revisions to the Filing of Open Video System Certification Applications, FCC 18-150, 2018 WL 5311440 (October 25, 2018) (Order).   
  The Commission stated in the Order that the amended rules would be effective upon publication in the Federal Register. See Order at para. 4.
  A summary of the Order was published in the Federal Register on November 28, 2018, 83 Fed. Reg. 61134-01 (November 28, 2018).
 so the electronic filing requirements are now in effect.
