FCC ANNOUNCES THE SEVENTH MEETING OF THE COMMUNICATIONS SECURITY, RELIABILITY, AND INTEROPERABILITY COUNCIL SCHEDULED FOR DECEMBER 13, 2018 AT FCC HEADQUARTERS

By this Public Notice, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC or Commission), consistent with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA),  5 U.S.C. App. 2.
 announces that the FCC’s Communications Security, Reliability, and Interoperability Council (CSRIC or Council) will meet Thursday, December 13, 2018, beginning at 1:00 p.m., in the Commission Meeting Room at FCC Headquarters, located at 445 12th Street, SW, Room TW-C305, Washington, DC  20554. At the meeting, CSRIC members will consider and vote on an Amendment to the previously approved Working Group 2 Report on a Comprehensive Re-imagining of Emergency Alerting; a Working Group 2 Report on Security Aspects of Emergency Alerting System (EAS); and an Addendum to the previously approved Working Group 3 Report on Best Practices and Recommendations to Mitigate Security Risks to Emerging 5G Wireless Networks. The CSRIC meeting is open to the public.  The FCC will accommodate as many attendees as possible; however, admittance will be limited to seating availability.  The Commission will also provide audio and/or video coverage of the meeting over the Internet from the FCC’s web page at www.fcc.gov/live.
