See Rules and Policies Regarding Caller Number Identification Service – Caller ID, CC Docket No. 91-281, Report and Order, 32 FCC Rcd 8003 (2017) (Caller ID Order). In the Caller ID Order, the Commission indicated that those rules containing new or modified information collection requirements that require review by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) under the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) would become effective 30 days after the Commission's publication of a notice in the Federal Register announcing approval by OMB. Id. at 8015, para. 34. On July 6, 2018, OMB approved the information collection contained in the Caller ID Order. See OMB Control No. 3060-1255. On July 23, 2018, the Federal Register published an announcement of OMB’s approval of the information collection requirements. 83 Fed. Reg. 34794 (July 23, 2018). Accordingly, these rules will become effective on August 22, 2018.
