DA 18-930 Released: September 10, 2018 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU CANCELS TEST OF THE DISASTER INFORMATION REPORTING SYSTEM FOR BROADCASTERS Due to the likely activation of the Disaster Information Reporting System (DIRS) for Hurricane Florence, the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau (PSHSB) of the Federal Communications Commission cancels the voluntary test of DIRS for broadcasters that was planned for September 13-14, 2018. If DIRS is activated for Hurricane Florence a separate Public Notice will be issued. PSHSB will schedule a DIRS test for broadcasters after the hurricane season is over.
