Amendment of Section 73.3580 of the Commission’s Rules Regarding Public Notice of the Filing of Applications, Modernization of Media Regulation Initiative, Revision of the Public Notice Requirements of Section 73.3580, MB Docket Nos. 05-6, 17-105 17-264, Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, FCC 19-97 (Sept. 26, 2019) (FNPRM). The Commission sought comment on specific rule revisions designed to streamline and standardize its requirements for on-air and written notice of applications. The FNPRM set deadlines for filing comments and reply comments at 30 and 45 days, respectively, after publication of the FNPRM in the Federal Register. See id. at 1. By this Public Notice, the Media Bureau announces that the FNPRM was published in the Federal Register on October 18, 2019.
