SEEKING COMMENT ON EXPANDED ELECTRONIC DELIVERY OF CERTAIN MVPD NOTICES

On November 16, 2018, the Commission released a Report and Order and Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (FNPRM) in MB Docket Nos. 17-105 and 17-317 that sought comment on whether we should permit certain MVPD notices to be delivered electronically to subscribers via means other than verified e-mail. Electronic Delivery of MVPD Communications, Modernization of Media Regulation Initiative, MB Docket Nos. 17-105, 17-317, Report and Order and Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, FCC 18-166, 2018 WL 6061286 (rel. Nov. 16, 2017).
  The Commission set deadlines for filing comments and reply comments at 30 and 45 days, respectively, after publication of the FNPRM in the Federal Register. Electronic Delivery of MVPD Communications, Modernization of Media Regulation Initiative, MB Docket Nos. 17-105, 17-317, Erratum (rel. Dec. 4, 2017).
  A summary of the FNPRM was published in the Federal Register on March 7, 2019. Electronic Delivery of MVPD Communications, Modernization of Media Regulation Initiative, Report and Order and Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, 84 Fed. Reg. 8278 (March 7, 2019).  
  Thus, comments must be submitted no later than April 8, 2019.  Reply comments must be submitted no later than April 22, 2019.  Commenters must follow the filing instructions provided in paragraph 36 of the FNPRM. FNPRM, 2018 WL 6061286 at *13, para. 36.
