NEW DOCKET FOR THE RURAL DIGITAL OPPORTUNITY FUND

WC Docket No. 19-126

By this Public Notice, the Wireline Competition Bureau, in coordination with the Rural Broadband Auctions Task Force and the Office of Economics and Analytics, opens WC Docket No. 19-126, captioned “Rural Digital Opportunity Fund.”  On April 12, 2019, Chairman Pai announced his intention to create a Rural Digital Opportunity Fund, which would make available up to $20.4 billion in support via a reverse auction to connect around four million rural homes and small businesses to high-speed broadband networks.
