DA 19-395 2 May 7, 2019 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES REGION 53 (TEXAS-SAN ANTONIO) 800 MHZ (NPSPAC) REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE TO HOLD PLANNING MEETING PR Docket No. 92-169 The Region 53 (Texas-San Antonio) 800 MHZ (NPSPAC) Regional Planning Committee (RPC) will hold a planning meeting on Monday, June 3, 2019. Region 53 (Texas - San Antonio) encompasses the following counties: Aransas, Atascosa, Bandera, Bee, Bexar, Brooks, Calhoun, Cameron, Comal, DeWitt, Dimmit, Duval, Edwards, Frio, Gillespie, Goliad, Gonzales, Guadalupe, Hidalgo, Jackson, Jim Hogg, Jim Wells, Karnes, Kendall, Kenedy, Kerr, Kinney, Kleberg, LaSalle, Lavaca, Live Oak, Maverick, McMullen, Medina, Nueces, Real, Refugio, San Patricio, Starr, Uvalde, Val Verde, Victoria, Webb, Willacy, Wilson, Zapata and Zavala. The 800 MHz RPC planning meeting will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the Alamo Area Council of Governments, Al J. Notzon Board Room (1st floor), 8700 Tesoro Dr., San Antonio, TX 78217. The agenda includes: · Review and approve agenda · Review and discuss proposed bylaw changes, and potentially take action · Election of new committee officers · Review and discuss a frequency application from the City of San Antonio (Alamo Area Regional Radio System), and potentially take action · Discuss Plan Amendment efforts, and potentially take action · Set next regular meeting time and date for this committee · Old Business · New Business · Opportunity for public comments · Adjourn The Region 53 Public Safety Regional Planning Committee meetings are open to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Region 53 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal, and non-governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Federal Communication’s Rules be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in planning for the use of public safety spectrum in the 800 MHz band within Region 53 should plan to attend.
