DA 19-582 Released: June 20, 2019 Notice of Effective Date of Revised Leased Access Rules and Announcement of Comment and Reply Comment Deadlines for Second FNPRM MB Docket Nos. 07-42 and 17-105 Comment Deadline: July 22, 2019 Reply Comment Deadline: August 5, 2019 On June 6, 2019, the Commission adopted the Leased Access Order, which updated the Commission’s leased access rules. Leased Commercial Access; Modernization of Media Regulation Initiative, FCC 19-52 (2019) (Leased Access Order). Those rules become effective 30 days after publication of the order in the Federal Register, except for the rules that require approval by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). See id. at ¶ 59. The rules that require OMB approval are sections 76.970(h) and 76.975(e), which will become effective after the Commission publishes a notice in the Federal Register announcing OMB approval and the relevant effective date. The Federal Register published a summary of the Leased Access Order on June 20, 2019. Accordingly, the rules adopted in the Leased Access Order will take effect on July 22, 2019, except for the rules that require OMB approval. Comments on the Second Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking attached to the Leased Access Order will be due on July 22, 2019 and reply comments will be due on August 5, 2019.
