Federal Communications Commission DA 19-586 DA 19-586 Released: June 21, 2019 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES AGENDA FOR WORKSHOP ON PROMOTING THE USE OF MULTILINGUAL EMERGENCY ALERTING PS Docket Nos. 15-91, 15-94 As previously announced, the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau (“PSHSB” or “Bureau”) will host a public workshop on June 28, 2019, to help inform state and local emergency management and planning authorities on actions they can take to implement multilingual alerts over the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and the Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) system. By this Public Notice, the Bureau announces the agenda and panelists for the workshop, which will take place at FCC Headquarters, 445 12th St. SW, Washington, DC, from 9:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. in the Commission Meeting Room (TW-C305).
