DA 19-665 2 July 17, 2019 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES REGION 15 (IOWA) 800 MHZ REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE TO HOLD MEETINGS PR Docket No. 90-221 The Region 15 800 MHz Regional Planning Committee (RPC) will hold their next two 800 MHz RPC meetings at the West Des Moines Public Safety Facility 17, 1401 Railroad Avenue, West Des Moines, Iowa, on the following dates/times indicated below. Region 15 800 MHz RPC Meeting Schedule · Thursday, August 8, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. (CDT) · Thursday, September 12, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. (CDT) The agenda for both meetings will include: · Call to Order/Introductions · Approval of Agenda · Public Comment · Correspondence · Workshop regarding 800 MHz Regional Plan - Review of existing plan with recommendations for modernization and alignment to current standards. - No action will be taken regarding changes to the plan. - Recommendations will be posted and considered at the October RPC meeting. · Next meeting · Adjourn The Region 15 RPC meetings are open to the public. All public safety providers in Region 15 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that eligible public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in planning for the use of public safety spectrum in the 800 MHz bands within Region 15 should plan to attend.
