Regional Planning Committees (RPCs) will hold two planning meetings on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, prior to the Joint APCO/NENA Meeting. Beginning at 9:00 a.m., the 700 MHz Public Safety RPC will convene at the State of Ohio Office Building, Bonsai Conference Room, 4200 Surface Road, Columbus, OH 43228. The Ohio State Highway Patrol Academy is located just west of I-71 at the 17th Avenue exit. The agenda for the 700 MHz meeting includes: · Call to order and attendee introductions · Recap of past year activities (Robert Bill) · Discussion of pending applications, plan amendments, and other issues · Election of Officers (Chair and Vice-Chair) for the coming year · Subcommittee reports, new member appointments, if needed · Other Business · Adjourn Immediately following the 700 MHz RPC meeting, the 800 MHz RPC will convene at the same location. The agenda for the 800 MHz meeting includes: · Recap of past year activities · Update on Rebanding · New Business · Old Business · Adjourn Both Region 33 RPC meetings are open to the public. All eligible public safety providers in Region 33 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that eligible public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in planning for the use of public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz and 800 MHz bands within Region 33 should plan to attend.
