MEDIA BUREAU ANNOUNCES COMMENT DATES FOR
LPFM TECHNICAL RULES NOTICE OF PROPOSED RULEMAKING

On July 30, 2019, the Commission adopted a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking In the Matter of Amendments of Parts 73 and 74 to Improve the Low Power FM Radio Service Technical Rules.Amendments of Parts 73 and 74 to Improve the Low Power FM Radio Service Technical Rules, Notice of Proposed Rule Making, MB Docket Nos. 19-193, 17-105, FCC 19-74 (rel. July 30, 2019) (LPFM Tech NPRM).
  The Commission sought comment on several proposals designed to improve service by amending the rules for the Low Power FM Radio service and FM Translators.  The LPFM Tech NPRM set deadlines for filing comments and reply comments at 30 and 45 days, respectively, after publication of the LPFM Tech NPRM in the Federal Register.
	By this Public Notice, the Media Bureau announces that the LPFM Tech NPRM was published in the Federal Register on September 19, 2019. Low Power FM Radio Service Technical Rules, 84 Fed. Reg. 49205 (Sept. 19, 2019).
  Comments must be submitted no later than Monday, October 21, 2019.  Reply Comments must be submitted no later than Monday, November 4, 2019.  Commenters should follow the filing instructions provided in paragraphs 28 to 31 of the LPFM Tech NPRM. LPFM Tech NPRM at paras. 28-31.
