SAT-MOD-20200612-00072 E S3017 Hughes Network Systems, LLC Modification Grant of Authority Effective Date: 09/03/2020 Nature of Service: Fixed Satellite Service On September 3, 2020, the Satellite Division modified the authorization for the Hughes Network Systems, LLC EchoStar XXIV space station (also known as HNS 95W or Jupiter 3)(call sign S3017) to add the frequencies 29.997 GHz (Earth-to-space) and 41.999 GHz (space-to-Earth) for tracking, telemetry, and command functions, and to increase authorized equivalent isotropically radiated power (EIRP), EIRP density, and power flux density (PFD) levels. EchoStar XXIV operates in the 28.6-29.1 GHz and 50.4-51.4 GHz (Earth-to-space) and the 18.8-19.3 GHz (space-to-Earth) frequency bands to provide fixed-satellite service. EchoStar XXIV will use the following center frequencies for telemetry, tracking, and command: 20.197 GHz, 20.199 GHz, 29.993 GHz, and 41.999 GHz (space-to-Earth); and 29.993 GHz, 29.995, and 29.997 GHz (Earth-to-space).
