PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU PROVIDES NOTICE OF FILING DEADLINES FOR OPPOSITIONS, AND REPLIES THERETO, TO PETITIONS FOR RECONSIDERATION FILED IN THE WIRELESS E911 LOCATION ACCURACY REQUIREMENTS PROCEEDING

By this Public Notice, the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau notifies interested parties of the filing deadlines for oppositions, and replies thereto, to a petition for reconsideration filed by the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials-International, Inc. (APCO), and a petition for reconsideration filed by CTIA to the Sixth Report and Order Wireless E911 Location Accuracy Requirements, Sixth Report and Order and Order on Reconsideration, 35 FCC Rcd 7752 (2020).

Oppositions to the petitions for reconsideration must be filed not later than 15 days after the date the Federal Register publishes notice that the petitions have been filed. See 47 CFR § 1.429(f).  
  Replies to oppositions must be filed no later than 25 days after the date the Federal Register publishes notice that the petitions have been filed, i.e., 10 days after the time for filing oppositions has expired. See 47 CFR § 1.429(g).
 
After the Office of the Federal Register announces the specific dates for oppositions and replies, the Bureau will issue another Public Notice announcing those dates. 
Oppositions and replies may be filed using the Commission’s Electronic Comment Filing System (ECFS). See FCC, Electronic Filing of Documents in Rulemaking Proceedings, 63 Fed. Reg. 24121 (May 1, 1998).
  

· Electronic Filers:  Comments may be filed electronically using the Internet by accessing the ECFS:  http://apps.fcc.gov/ecfs/.  

· Paper Filers:  Parties who choose to file by paper must file an original and one copy of each filing.

· Filings can be sent by commercial overnight courier, or by first-class or overnight U.S. Postal Service mail. All filings must be addressed to the Commission’s Secretary, Office of the Secretary, Federal Communications Commission.

· Commercial overnight mail (other than U.S. Postal Service Express Mail and Priority Mail) must be sent to 9050 Junction Drive, Annapolis Junction, MD 20701.U.S. Postal Service first-class, Express, and Priority mail must be addressed to 445 12th Street, SW, Washington DC  20554.

· Effective March 19, 2020, and until further notice, the Commission no longer accepts any hand or messenger delivered filings. This is a temporary measure taken to help protect the health and safety of individuals, and to mitigate the transmission of COVID-19.
