SAT-LOA-20191210-00144 E S3059 Space Logistics LLC Launch and Operating Authority Grant of Authority Effective Date: 03/25/2020 Nature of Service: Other On March 25, 2020, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the request of Space Logistics, LLC for authority to construct, deploy, and conduct telemetry, tracking and command functions with its Mission Extension Vehicle-2 (MEV-2). Space Logistics was authorized to conduct TT&C operations in the 5925-6425 MHz and 13.75-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space), and 3700-4200 MHz and 11.45-12.25 GHz (space-to Earth) frequency bands as MEV-2: (i) is deployed from the launch vehicle, engages in orbit-raising maneuvers and conducts various post-launch system verification tests in geosynchronous transfer orbit; (ii) performs rendezvous, proximity operations and docking with the Intelsat 1002 (IS-1002) space station (Call Sign S2414) at the 1° W.L. orbital location; (iii) operates at that location as a combined vehicle stack with IS-1002 for an expected five years; and (iv) undocks from IS-1002 after completion of the mission extension mission. Space Logistics' request for waiver of sections 25.114(c), 25.115(c)(5), and 25.165(a) of the Commission's rules, as well as waiver of the U.S. Table of Allocations and the Commission's public notice placing a filing freeze on C-band space station applications, are granted. Special Temporary Authority Grant of Authority Effective Date: 03/26/2020 Nature of Service: Earth Exploration Satellite Service On March 26, 2020, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority to Planet Labs Inc., for a period of 180 days, to permit the use of telemetry downlink frequencies on six commercial remote sensing satellites, SkySat-16 to SkySat-21, while they are brought into service after launch. Specifically, Planet Labs was granted special temporary authority to assign each of the six new satellites one of the following frequencies for telemetry transmissions immediately after launch: 8374.25 MHz, 8374.50 MHz, 8374.75 MHz, 8375.25 MHz, 8375.50 MHz, and 8375.75 MHz.
