Federal Communications Commission DA 20-353 DA 20-353 Released: March 27, 2020 MEDIA BUREAU ANNOUNCES EXTENSION OF TIME FOR BROADCASTERS TO FILE CHILDREN’S PROGRAMMING REPORTS AND QUARTERLY ISSUES/PROGRAMS LISTS Delay in Filing Deadlines to Give Broadcasters Flexibility As a result of the fluid and challenging situation caused by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Media Bureau hereby extends the filing deadline for the first annual Children’s Television Programming Report (FCC Form 2100, Schedule H) from March 30, 2020 to July 10, 2020. Media Burau Announces Effective Date of Remaining KidVid Rules, Availability and Extension of Time to File the Revised Children's Television Programming Report in LMS, and Guidance Concerning the filing of Final Quarterly Commercial Limits Certifications, MB Docket Nos. 18-202 and 17-105, Public Notice, 34 FCC Rcd 12517 (MB 2019). This Report must cover the period from September 16, 2019, through December 31, 2019. Media Bureau Announces Effective Date and Provides Guidance on Transition Procedures for KidVid Reporting and Compliance with Revised Safe Harbor Processing Guidelines, MB Docket Nos. 18-202, 17-105, Public Notice, 34 FCC Rcd 7878, 7880 (MB 2019). Additionally, we extend the deadline by which radio and television broadcasters must place their first quarter issues/programs lists into their Online Public Inspection File from April 10, 2020, to July 10, 2020. See 47 CFR §§ 73.3526(e)(11)(i), (e)(12) and 73.3527(e)(8). As a result, the filing deadline for both the first and second quarter issues/programs lists will be the same. Extending these reporting deadlines will not significantly impact the public’s or the Bureau’s review of licensee’s compliance with the Commission’s rules. While we are extending these filing deadlines, we encourage licensees to file their Children’s Television Programming Report and their quarterly issues/programs lists as soon as practicable. Further, we emphasize that this Public Notice does not modify any requirements or filing deadlines related to stations’ political files, See 47 CFR §§ 73.3526(e)(6) and 73.1943. nor does it modify any other filing obligations or deadline related to broadcasters’ public files.
