On March 31, 2020, the Federal Communications Commission released a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) seeking comment on modernizing the methodology for determining whether a television broadcast station is “significantly viewed” in a community outside of its local television market. Significantly Viewed Stations; Modernization of Media Regulation Initiative, MB Docket Nos. 20-73 and 17-105, Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, FCC 20-41 (rel. Mar. 31, 2020) (NPRM).  The NPRM is available on the Commission’s website.  See https://docs.fcc.gov/public/attachments/FCC-20-41A1.pdf.
  The NPRM set deadlines for filing comments and reply comments at 30 and 60 days, respectively, after publication of the NPRM in the Federal Register.

The Media Bureau announces that the NPRM was published in the Federal Register on April 14, 2020. 85 Fed. Reg. 20649 (Apr. 14, 2020).
  Accordingly, comments must be submitted by May 14, 2020; reply comments must be submitted by June 15, 2020.  Commenters must follow the filing instructions set forth in paragraph 22 of the NPRM. NPRM at para. 22.
