Federal Communications Commission "FCC/DA XX-XXX" DA 20-89 Released: January 21, 2020 WIRELINE COMPETITION BUREAU UPDATES LIST OF FIXED COMPETITIVE ELIGIBLE TELECOMMUNICATIONS CARRIERS RECEIVING PHASE-DOWN SUPPORT WC Docket No. 10-90 With this Public Notice, the Wireline Competition Bureau provides an updated report showing the legacy support amounts associated with competitive eligible telecommunications carriers (competitive ETCs) offering service to fixed locations. As of June 1, 2019, June 2019 was the first month after the first authorization of any Connect America Fund (CAF) Phase II auction support nationwide. Wireline Competition Bureau Announces Beginning of Phase Down of Legacy Support for Price Cap Carriers and Fixed Competitive Eligible Telecommunications Carriers After Authorization of Connect America Fund Phase II Auction Support, WC Docket No. 10-90, Public Notice, 34 FCC Rcd 3173, 3174 (WCB 2019) (citing Connect America Fund, WC Docket No. 10-90, Report and Order, FCC 19-8, at 6, para. 17 (Feb. 15, 2019) (Phase II Transitions Order); Connect America Fund Phase II Auction Support Authorized for 459 Winning Bids, AU Docket No. 17-182, WC Docket No. 10-90, Public Notice, 34 FCC Rcd 3142 (WCB 2019)). fixed competitive ETCs began receiving legacy support at a reduced level. One such fixed competitive ETC was inadvertently omitted from the previous version of the report; the report available at https://docs.fcc.gov/public/attachments/DOC-357433A1.xlsx now includes the missing carrier. The list of fixed competitive ETCs subject to the phase-down of their legacy support now properly includes Advantage Cellular Systems, Inc. (SAC 299905). We therefore direct USAC to reduce the amount of support Advantage Cellular Systems, Inc. receives in the relevant Study Area Code consistent with the phase-down of other fixed competitive ETCs’ support, effective June 1, 2019. See Phase II Transitions Order at 6-7, paras. 17-18.
