DA 20-948 August 26, 2020 FCC ANNOUNCES THE SIXTH MEETING OF THE COMMUNICATIONS SECURITY, RELIABILITY, AND INTEROPERABILITY COUNCIL VII ON SEPTEMBER 16, 2020 By this Public Notice, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC or Commission), consistent with the Federal Advisory Committee Act (FACA), 5 U.S.C. App. 2. announces that the FCC’s Communications Security, Reliability, and Interoperability Council VII (CSRIC VII or Council) will meet Wednesday, September 16, 2020, beginning at 2:00 p.m. EDT, via conference call and available to the public via the Internet at http://www.fcc.gov/live. Notice of this meeting was published in the Federal Register on August 10, 2020. See Federal Communications Commission, Federal Advisory Committee Act; Communications Security, Reliability, and Interoperability Council, 85 FR 48244 (August 10, 2020). At the September meeting, CSRIC VII members will consider and vote on three reports: Report on Standard Operating Procedures for Emergency Alerting Communications; Report on Risks Introduced by 3GPP Releases 15 and 16 5G Standards; and Report on Security Risks and Best Practices for Mitigation in 911 in Legacy, Transitional, and Next Generation 911 (NG911) Implementations. CSRIC VII will also receive progress updates from its working groups. The meeting is being held in a wholly electronic format in light of restrictions on group gatherings and travel related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The CSRIC VII meeting is open to the public on the Internet via live feed from the FCC’s web page at www.fcc.gov/live. The public may submit questions after the meeting to CSRIC@fcc.gov.
