App. 2. Federal Communications Commission (FCC or Commission) Acting Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel has appointed members to serve on the Communications Security, Reliability, and Interoperability Council (CSRIC or Council) VIII. CSRIC VIII will hold its first meeting on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, beginning at 1:00 pm, via conference call and available to the public via the Internet at http://www.fcc.gov/live. Notice of this meeting was published in the Federal Register on August 31, 2021. A full list of the CSRIC VIII membership is attached to this Public Notice. The CSRIC VIII membership represents a range of interests, including: state, local, and federal government; public safety entities; public interest entities; small and rural communications providers; nationwide telecommunications providers; and other interested parties. CSRIC VIII will examine specific, complex technical issues assigned to it by the Chairwoman. The CSRIC’s first meeting will introduce the co-Chairs, Council members, and announce the topics that CSRIC VIII will consider and address. A future FCC Public Notice will invite additional participation in the CSRIC VII working groups that will examine these topics. The CSRIC VIII meeting is open to the public via live stream on the FCC webpage. The meeting is being held in a wholly electronic format in light of restrictions on group gatherings and travel related to the COVID-19 pandemic. The CSRIC VIII meeting is open to the public on the Internet via live feed from the FCC’s web page at https://www.fcc.gov/live. The public may submit questions after the meeting to CSRIC@fcc.gov.
