On November 15, 2021, the Commission adopted and released a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to update its rules for applicants proposing directional antenna facilities for FM and Low Power FM (LPFM) broadcast stations. Updating FM Broadcast Radio Service Directional Antenna Performance Verification, MB Docket No. 21-422, Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, FCC 21-117 (Nov. 15, 2021) (NPRM).
  The Commission sought comment on specific rule revisions allowing an FM or LPFM applicant to verify a directional antenna pattern through the use of computer modeling.  The NPRM set deadlines for filing comments and reply comments at 30 and 45 days, respectively, after publication of the NPRM in the Federal Register. See id. at 1.	

 
	By this Public Notice, the Media Bureau announces that the NPRM was published in the Federal Register on November 30, 2021. Updating FM Broadcast Radio Service Directional Antenna Performance Verification, 86 Fed. Reg. 67886 (Nov. 30, 2021).
  Comments must be submitted no later than December 30, 2021.  Reply Comments must be submitted no later than January 14, 2022.  Commenters should follow the filing instructions provided in paragraph 21 of the NPRM. NPRM at 8-9, para. 21.
