SAT-STA-20211119-00165 E S2750 Intelsat License LLC, as debtor-in-possession Special Temporary Authority Grant of Authority Effective Date: 11/29/2021 On November 29, 2021, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority to Intelsat License LLC, as debtor-in-possession, for a period of up to four consecutive days within the 30-day time frame following grant, to operate the Ku-beam of Intelsat 16 at the 76.2º W.L. orbital location over a new coverage area in 11.7-12.2 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 14.0-14.5 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. On October 5, 2016, the Satellite Division granted market access to Viasat, Inc. for the VIASAT-79W Ka-band space station, to be located at the 79º W.L. orbital location using the 18.3-18.8 GHz, 18.8-19.3 GHz, and 19.7-20.2 GHz (space-to-Earth); and 28.1-28.35 GHz, 28.6-29.1 GHz, and 29.5-30.0 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. See IBFS File No. SAT-LOI-20160208-00014). On October 20, 2021, Viasat, Inc. surrendered the grant of market access. See Letter from Jarrett S. These frequency bands at the 79º W.L. orbital location are now available for reassignment pursuant to the Commission's first-come, first-served licensing process effective 2:00 p.m. EST on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. At that time, interested parties may file applications for new space stations, market access by non-U.S. licensed space stations, modifications to licensed space stations, or amendments to pending applications, taking this announcement into account. Applications for the spectrum filed prior to this date and time will be dismissed as premature without prejudice to re-filing.
