SAT-MOD-20201201-00138 E AMSC-1 Ligado Networks Subsidiary LLC Modification Grant of Authority Effective Date: 02/17/2021 Nature of Service: Fixed Satellite Service, Mobile Satellite Service On February 17, 2021, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the request of Ligado Networks Subsidiary LLC for modification of the authorization for its MSAT-2 satellite by extending the license term of that satellite to December 31, 2022. MSAT-2 operates at the 106.5 W.L. orbital location providing backup services for the SkyTerra-1 satellite and using the following frequency bands: 1530-1544 MHz, 1545-1559 MHz (space-to-Earth), 1631.5-1645.5 MHz and 1646.5-1660.5 MHz (Earth-to-space), 10.75-10.95 GHz (space-to-Earth), and 13.0-13.15 GHz, 13.20-13.25 GHz (Earth-to-space). Ligado is also authorized to conduct telemetry, tracking and command using the following center frequencies: 11.7005 GHz, 11.701 GHz (space-to-Earth); 14.0005 GHz and 14.4995 GHz (Earth-to-space); and beacon frequencies of 10.7535 GHz (primary) and 10.751 GHz (backup). Special Temporary Authority Grant of Authority Effective Date: 02/17/2021 On February 17, 2021, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority, for a period of 30 days, to Sirius XM Radio Inc. to continue to: (1) conduct in-orbit testing (IOT) of the SXM-7 space station at the 120.5° W.L. orbital location rather than the 120.0° W.L. orbital location; (2) conduct IOT in the 2315-2320 MHz (Earth-to-space) and 2345-2350 MHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands, in addition to the 2320-2345 MHz (space-to-Earth) and 7025-7075 MHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands previously authorized for operations with SXM-7; and (3) perform telemetry, tracking, and command (TT&C) operations necessary to maintain SXM-7 at the 120.5° W.L. orbital location and drift SXM-7 to its assigned orbital location at 85.15° W.L. upon completion of IOT.
