This grant of special temporary authority extends, in part, the prior grant of special temporary authority, IBFS File No. SAT-STA-20201022-00124 (granted Nov. 16, 2020), with respect to FSS operations. Page 2 of 3 SAT-STA-20201217-00146 E S2368 Intelsat License LLC, as debtor-in-possession Special Temporary Authority Grant of Authority Effective Date: 01/04/2021 On January 4, 2021, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, special temporary authority for an additional period of 60 days, to Intelsat License LLC, as debtor-in-possession, to operate one of the Ku-band beams of the Intelsat 1R space station at the 157.1° E.L. orbital location over a new coverage area to provide fixed-satellite service in the 11.45-11.7 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 14.0-14.25 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. INFORMATIVE SAT-LOA-20181221-00094 S3041 Swarm Technologies, Inc. Effective December 22, 2020, the Satellite Division has designated as "permit-but-disclose," for the purpose of the Commission's ex parte rules, a proceeding relating to the terms of a space station license held by ORBCOMM License Corp. This proceeding is associated with the above-captioned IBFS file, as well as IBFS File Nos. SAT-MOD-20070302-00041, SAT-MOD-20070531-00076, and SAT-AMD-2007111600161. We find that designating this proceeding as "permit-but-disclose" will serve the public interest by facilitating the resolution of broad policy issues raised in the proceeding.
