The effective date of these actions is the release date of this Notice, except where an effective date is specified. SAT-MOD-20210319-00036 E S3014 Astro Digital US, Inc. Modification Grant of Authority Effective Date: 05/28/2021 Nature of Service: Earth Exploration Satellite Service On May 28, 2021, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the request of Astro Digital US, Inc. for modification of its license that was previously granted in part. See IBFS File No. SAT-LOA-20170508-00071 (granted in part Aug. 1, 2018). Specifically, the Division modified the license conditions applicable to two of the five satellites previously authorized, to be known as Demo8 and Demo 9, to include authorization of command operations in the 2025-2110 MHz band (Earth-to-space). The Division also extended the deployment deadline from March 31, 2021 to December 31, 2021. SAT-STA-20210205-00017 E Spaceflight, Inc. Special Temporary Authority Grant of Authority Effective Date: 05/28/2021 On May 28, 2021, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the request of Spaceflight, Inc. for special temporary authority to deploy and operate two non-geostationary spacecraft, to be known as Sherpa-FX2 and Sherpa-LTE1, each of which will deploy other spacecraft. Sherpa-FX2 is authorized to operate for a period of less than 24 hours to deploy up to 25 spacecraft in low-Earth orbit. Sherpa-LTE1 is authorized to operate for an initial period of six hours or less to deploy up to 10 spacecraft, and continue to operate during testing and de-orbit for a period not to exceed 180 days. In connection with the Sherpa-FX2 and Sherpa-LTE1 deployment phases, Spaceflight is authorized to operate an inter-satellite link for space operations with the Globalstar system using a center frequency of 1616.25 MHz and bandwidth of 2.5 MHz and is authorized to receive signals for space operations (Earth-to-space) using a center frequency of 2075 MHz and bandwidth of 300 kHz. In connection with the Sherpa-LTE1 testing and de-orbit, Spaceflight is authorized to transmit signals for space operations (space-to-Earth) using a center frequency of 400.5 MHz and bandwidth of 40 kHz, and to receive signals for space operations (Earth-to-space) using a center frequency of 402.9 MHz and bandwidth of 40 kHz (primary) and using a center frequency of 2075 MHz and bandwidth of 300 kHz (backup).
