On July 12, 2021, the Commission adopted and released a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking in a proceeding to update the technical rules applicable to broadcast radio stations. Updating Broadcast Radio Technical Rules, MB Docket No. 21-263, Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, FCC 21-84 (July 12, 2021) (NPRM).
  The Commission sought comment on amending the rules to better reflect current requirements and eliminate redundant, outdated, or conflicting technical provisions.  The NPRM set deadlines for filing comments and reply comments at 30 and 45 days, respectively, after publication of the NPRM in the Federal Register. Id. at 1.	

 
	By this Public Notice, the Media Bureau announces that the NPRM was published in the Federal Register on August 6, 2021. Updating Broadcast Radio Technical Rules, 86 Fed. Reg. 43145 (Aug. 6, 2021).
  Comments must be submitted no later than September 7, 2021.  Reply comments must be submitted no later than September 20, 2021.  Commenters should follow the filing instructions provided in paragraph 17 of the NPRM. See NPRM at 8, para. 17.
