On December 8, 2021, WNC filed seeking a waiver to allow for the replacement of the standard labeling language on its TR2 5G Extender. Our rules require all industrial signal boosters to display the following language on the device: WARNING. This is NOT a CONSUMER device. It is designed for installation by FCC LICENSEES and QUALIFIED INSTALLERS. You MUST have an FCC LICENSE or express consent of an FCC Licensee to operate this device. Unauthorized use may result in significant forfeiture penalties, including penalties in excess of $100,000 for each continuing violation. Id. WNC requests the removal of the sentence indicating licensees and qualified installers should perform the installation of the device Request at 6. and the following language to be displayed on the device: WARNING. This is not a CONSUMER device. This device may not be sold at retail. You MUST have an FCC LICENSE or express consent of an FCC Licensee (or express consent of your service provider) to operate this device. Antennas must be installed at least 20 cm (8 inches) from any person.
