DA 22-714 2 July 5, 2022 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF RULES ADOPTED PURSUANT TO THE PRIORITY SERVICES REPORT AND ORDER PS Docket No. 20-187 On May 20, 2022, the Federal Communications Commission (Commission) released a Report and Order (Report and Order) that modernizes and streamlines its rules for the Telecommunications Service Priority (TSP) System and Wireless Priority Service (WPS). Review of Rules and Requirements For Priority Services, Report and Order, FCC 22-36 (rel. May 20, 2022) (Report and Order). The adopted rules will become effective 30 days after publication in the Federal Register. See Report and Order at para. 65. On July 5, 2022, the Office of the Federal Register published a summary of the Report and Order. 87 Fed. Reg. 39770 (July 5, 2022). Accordingly, the rules adopted in the Report and Order will take effect on August 4, 2022. See 87 Fed. Reg. 39770.
