Federal Communications Commission "FCC/DA XX-XXX" DA 22-857 Released: August 12, 2022 FCC ANNOUNCES TECHNOLOGICAL ADVISORY COUNCIL MEETING ON SEPTEMBER 15, 2022 The Technological Advisory Council (TAC), comprised of a diverse group of leading technology experts, provides technical expertise to the Commission to identify important areas of innovation and develop informed technology policies supporting the United States’ competitiveness in the global economy. As part of its current charter, the TAC will continue to consider and advise the Commission on topics such as 6G, artificial intelligence, advanced spectrum sharing technologies, and emerging wireless technologies, including new tools to restore Internet access during shutdowns and other disruptions. The next meeting of the TAC will be held on Thursday, September 15th, 2022 beginning at 10:00 am EDT, via video conference and will be available to the public via the Internet at http://www.fcc.gov/live. Dean Brenner, a former executive at Qualcomm, serves as Chairman of the Council. Michael Ha, Chief of the Policy and Rules Division in the Office of Engineering and Technology, serves as the Designated Federal Officer.
