The term of the 2020-2022 IAC FCC Announces Reauthorization of Its Intergovernmental Advisory Committee and Solicits Nominations for Membership on the Committee, Public Notice, 34 FCC Rcd 10332 (2019) (“On November 6, 2019, the Commission announced the reauthorization of the IAC ... The reauthorized IAC will operate for two years, with an option for the Commission to reauthorize it at the end of the two-year period. The term will commence with the new IAC’s first meeting.”). currently is set to expire on September 22, 2022, but now will be extended to November 22, 2022. This extension will allow the IAC to engage in the orderly completion of its work for this term. The IAC provides guidance, expertise, and recommendations to the Commission on a range of communications issues for which state, local, Tribal and Territorial governments explicitly or inherently share responsibility or administration with the Commission. The IAC has been an important source of information and guidance to the Commission over the past 20 years and the extension will provide additional time to further its contributions to the FCC.
