DA 24-117 2 February 8, 2024 PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU ANNOUNCES REGION 20 (DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, MARYLAND AND NORTHERN VIRGINIA) REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEES TO HOLD 700 MHZ AND 800 MHZ MEETINGS PS Docket No. 23-237 and WT Docket 02-378 The Region 20 Public Safety 700 MHz and 800 MHz Regional Planning Committees (RPCs) will hold two consecutive in-person planning meetings on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. Beginning at 10:00 am, the meetings will be held at 777 North Capitol Street, NE, Washington, DC. The agenda for the 700/800 MHz meeting includes: · Call to order and welcome to all guests · Approval of October 25, 2023, meeting minutes · Old business · Chairman’s Remarks on issues of importance in Region 20 · New business · Program Both Region 20 Public Safety RPC meetings are open to the public. All eligible public safety providers in Region 20 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that eligible public safety agencies in all areas of government, including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate, and represent their agency’s needs. All interested parties wishing to participate in planning for the use of public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz and 800 MHz bands within Region 20 should plan to attend.
