PUBLIC SAFETY AND HOMELAND SECURITY BUREAU TO HOST A CYBERSECURITY WORKSHOP FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS CARRIERS ON MAY 15, 2026
	By this Public Notice, the Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau announces that the Commission will host a cybersecurity workshop for telecommunications carriers featuring speakers from the FCC, federal partners, and industry experts.  The event will bring together public- and private-sector representatives to raise awareness of emerging cybersecurity risks, share and promote adoption of best practices, and highlight opportunities for public-private partnership on cybersecurity issues facing telecommunications carriers, including ransomware attacks and advanced persistent threats.  Panelists and presenters will offer practical guidance to help executives and security leaders—particularly at small- and medium-sized carriers—to strengthen cybersecurity resilience and improve incident response across the telecommunications sector.  
The workshop will start at 10:00am EDT on Friday, May 15, 2026.  Registration is free and is open to the public.  Members of the public may attend this event either in person at 45 L St NE, Washington, DC 20554 in the Commission Meeting Room, or remotely via livestream at fcc.gov/live.  We request that both remote and in-person members of the public register in advance to attend the roundtable by using the following:  https://www.fcc.gov/form/public-safety-homeland-security.
