Modernizing Suspension and Debarment Rules, GN Docket No. 19-309, Report and Order, Direct Final Rule, and Further Notice of Proposed Rulemaking, FCC 26-18 (adopted Mar. 26, 2026). In the Further Notice, the Federal Communications Commission (Commission) seeks comment on additional safeguards to enhance accountability and on a proposal to extend the suspension and debarment rules to additional programs, including the Supply Chain Reimbursement Program. In the Direct Final Rule, the Commission provides an opportunity for interested parties to provide input on whether the Commission should adopt a few recent revisions to the governmentwide suspension and debarment guidelines. The Further Notice required interested parties to file comments no later than 30 days after the date of publication of the summary of the Further Notice in the Federal Register, and to file reply comments no later than 60 days after the date of Federal Register publication. Likewise, the Direct Final Rule permitted interested parties to file comments no later than 30 days after the date of publication of the summary of the Direct Final Rule in the Federal Register.
