Federal Communications Commission DA 26-589 DA 26-665 Released: July 6, 2026 WIRELINE COMPETITION BUREAU ANNOUNCES AGENDA AND PANELISTS FOR JULY 15 AND JULY 16, 2026 WORKSHOP ON IP TRANSITION PROCEEDINGS By this Public Notice, the Wireline Competition Bureau (Bureau) announces the agenda and panelists for its industry workshop to discuss the proposed reforms to Internet Protocol (IP) interconnection, intercarrier compensation, and related legacy Universal Service Fund issues, as previously announced on April 30, 2026. See Wireline Competition Bureau to Host a Workshop on IP Transition Proceedings on July 15 and July 16, 2026, Public Notice, DA 26-428 (WCB Apr. 30, 2026). The full agenda is attached to this Public Notice. See Attachment. Panelist participation is subject to change, and additional panelists may be included. The workshop will include discussions of the Federal Communications Commission’s (FCC) proposed reforms to accelerate the transition from legacy voice networks to modern, all-IP networks. Discussion topics will also cover the effort to complete the transition of intercarrier compensation charges to bill-and-keep, reforming the High-Cost Universal Service Fund program for an all-IP future, and other IP transition considerations. Industry experts and stakeholders will assist in developing potential solutions that support the FCC’s goal of a smooth and efficient transition to all-IP networks. Attendees are advised to arrive approximately 30 minutes prior to the start of the workshop to allow time to go through the FCC’s security process. The FCC will accommodate as many attendees as possible; however, admittance will be limited to seating capacity regardless of registration status. · Virtual: Members of the public who cannot attend the workshop in person can access a livestream of the event at http://www.fcc.gov/live. · Registration: This event is free and open to the public. The online registration form can be found at https://www.fcc.gov/ip-transition-workshop-online-registration-form. Though it is not required, prior registration is encouraged to expedite in-person admission to the workshop. Registrants can submit a question for the panelists using the optional text field within the registration form. Although submitting a question increases the likelihood that it will be raised, we cannot guarantee that every question will be addressed. Questions that are similar to others may be consolidated or grouped in the interest of time and efficiency. The deadline for question submission will close on July 8, 2026, and additional questions will not be accepted for submission following this date, although registration will continue to be available to facilitate expedited entry through security.
